NY/RI based theatre performer, maker, dramaturg

Caroline (Lina) DeFazio is a queer multidisciplinary theater maker based in NYC. 

She focuses on physical theater and has devised new works with Atlantic Theater, MetaPhys-Ed, and Bated Breath Theater Co. She’s performed at Target Margin Theater, Theater for a New City, The Brick, and various other spaces/DIY venues around NY. Lina is twice published by Stephen Sondheim’s Young Playwrights Inc, and her piece The Life of By Herself.pdf was an official selection of the Emerging Artist Theater’s Spark Theater Festival at The Chain.

Lina is a freelance production professional, and has frequently collaborated with Good Talk Films LLC, Carnegie Hall, and A.R.T./NY. She is also a teaching artist at Brooklyn Acting Lab.

Lina trained at NYU’s Experimental Theater Wing and the International Theater Workshop in Amsterdam. She loves her family, friends, animals, and collaborators dearly.
